FTTP Infrastructure

The South Jersey Regional Transportation Authority selected Ammann & Whitney to design the widening of the roadway and bridge approach into the city of Atlantic City and to tie in to the cross-town tunnel project. The project involves the widening of the Atlantic City Expressway to six lanes between mileposts 0.0 and 2.8 which includes widening the McGahn Bridge (milepost 0.3) and Bridge 29 (milepost 0.2). The New traffic lanes are proposed to be constructed within the existing grass median while the bridge structures may be widened along the south side. Matrix was retained by Ammann & Whitney to perform a geotechnical subsurface investigation to aid the design.
